Bloggiversary Day 4: We just keep Going and Going and Going!

A year ago when we started this site we began with crafts, foods, and my favorite GAMES! Here is a throwback of some of my favorites from childhood. Keep reading to find out what today's giveaway is!

Red Light, Green Light
Tweak listening skills with this easy no preparation needed game.Stand across the yard, facing your little ones. Turn around and say "Green light!" Just like driving, green means go, so your little will run to be the first one to reach you. Turn back around slowly and say "Red light!" Red lights mean stop, so the little ones need to freeze! If anyone moves after you say red light they have to go back to start, or take 3 steps backwards. You choose according to how your child will react to the consequence. The first one to reach you is the winner and get to be the traffic light!

Colored Eggs
Choose a fox, a mother hen and the rest of the players are the eggs. Each egg must be assigned a different color. The fox will come knocking on the chicken coop and ask the mother hen if she has any (insert color here) eggs. If there is a (for example) blue egg, they must run out of the coop and around a designated course and the fox must chase them. If the fox catches them, they then become the fox and everyone gets a new color. The fox then becomes the mother hen.If the fox cannot catch the running egg, the fox must guess another color until it can catch an egg! The game can continue on until the kiddos get tired; there really is no winner or loser, just tired kids!

These are games to keep your children going and going and going...just like the Energizer Bunny!

And just like we are celebrating our 1 year Bloggiversary, Energizer Batteries is celebrating 20 years of that little pink bunny banging his drum. In his honor, we'd like to give away one pair of Energizer Bunny House Slippers!

We loved ANY kind of Tag. We would make up our own rules like in order to unfreeze someone you had to crawl under their legs, or everyone that got tagged got stuck to the tagger. Pretty soon there was this chain of people and only the one on the end could be un-frozen!

I became a "fan" of energizer bunny this morning but forgot to leave a comment!

my favorite childhood game? Probably a toss up between Red Light, Green Light, and Mother May I? I will have to try those with my girls this summer!

I loved hide'n-go-seek; still do!
There is something exhilarating about finding that perfect hiding spot and giggling to your self as the seeker comes closer and closer...or if you're the seeker, listening for those suppressed giggles!

One of my favorite childhood games was Marco Polo - especially in the pool! Thanks for the chance to win the cute slippers!
