Usually on Wednesdays, we showcase a mom from around the web who wants to share their marbles of mommy wisdom with all of you.Today, I want to share my own bit of mommy wisdom: Take care of yourself! You know how in the event of an emergency on an airplane they flight attendants tell you to put on your oxygen mask before helping others? It's just like that in the every day lives of moms, too.
I'm sure you've been there. You know, those days when you are just so run down that throwing a bag of cheerios on the floor for dinner seems like a good idea because you are just that exhausted? I know I've had many of those days myself. But I have found that if I make sure to take just a few minutes to pamper myself in some way, I'm much more likely able to take better care of my family.
I'm not talking a mani/pedi, shopping trip or dinner out with friends. While those are nice, it just isn't always possible to find time in our busy schedules to squeeze events like those in every day. I'm talking about a quick pick me, like swinging through the coffee shop drive through for your favorite drink, taking a few minutes to read some favorite blogs before the kids wake up, or treating yourself to some quality bath and body products during your normal "get ready for the day" routine.
Well, today we want to help one of our readers pamper themselves. Up for grabs as today's bloggiversary prize is a Skin Renewal System from Skin Free 100% Natural Skin Care Products! The system includes the Sweet & Smooth Sugar Scrub and the Whipped Tamanu Body Butter.
I have the same set and I absolutely love it! The sugar scrub smells and feels delicious and the body butter has been perfect for my ever expanding and itchy baby bump.
To win:
- Leave a comment here telling us how you squeeze in a little mama pampering each day.

I started this comment to tell you about my nightly bubble baths, but it got very long. I'm going to attempt to blog about the how & why later, but for now I'll simply say that it feels so luxurious to soak in a tub with a book. It gives me the chance to unwind, wash off the mom and come back to my husband refreshed.
How do I pamper myself everyday? *sigh* don't find much time for that I'm afraid. I do try to get up before the girls so I have some quiet time and can take a nice relaxing shower without them barging in on me. Will prove to be more difficult now that summer is here and we are sleeping later in the morning.
I tweeted again!
Mama Pampering? Haha...I'm lucky if I can get a shower. My favorite thing for me time is to read blogs and books.

I, too, am just happy if I can have an uninterrupted shower and can shave my legs...sadly, it doesnt happen too often.
I guess my momma pampering consists of twitter... does that count?
I wear perfume every day and it makes such a difference in my mood. Even if I'm frazzeled and running out the door to daycare and then work, smelling the perfume makes me feel womanly, if that makes any sense :-)

I love to take a hot bath after the kids are in bed, put on some yummy lotion, and comfy pj's, and watch a movie that I borrow from the library - thank goodness for lazy summer mornings - as I'm often up later than I should be after I do this - but I LOVE it!
