Review & Contest: Prima Princessa Presents Swan Lake

Mom's Marbles was recently provided with a review copy of the kids' ballet dvd Prima Princessa Presents Swan Lake. I was the Mom lucky enough to get the chance to review it!

First, a little background. Stephanie and Mary Kate are two stay-at-home moms from New Jersey who wanted to create a dvd to inspire their own little ballerinas to engage in an accessible and magical world of ballet.

What they created is a new type of ballet dvd. It's very well suited for the youngest tutu fans who like to watch short segments of exciting ballet moments and then try the moves out for themselves.

Both my kids enjoyed this dvd. My daughter is 2 and absolutely a tutu-loving, dancing, spinning, twirling top. She enjoyed the short segments featuring the Paris Opera Ballet, but her favorite parts were hopping up to join the on-screen tutu-wearing kids to try out some ballet moves of her own. My 6 year old son joined in the fun too, and quickly picked up on the ballet terminology that is included. He especially enjoyed hearing the abridged story of Swan Lake!
